Going Beyond
Today I’ve been looking at my calendar and am startled by the fact that our first Going Beyond event of the year is just around the corner. In roughly two weeks, I and about 2000 registrants will converge on Mckinney Bible Church in Ft. Worth for what I believe will be a wonderful time. The following weekend, we’ll do it again in Mclean, Va. There’ll be enough estrogen, caffeine and chocolate to power a small village, I’m sure!
On the Friday night of the event, I always have fun going back to the hotel and seeing women, fresh off the heels of the event, getting ready to spend the night together after some gooey dessert and even more fabulous conversation.
I’ve been praying that God’s presence will hang heavy and that’s we’ll experience Him in a way we’ve not before. I love it when God surprises His people - and that’s exactly what I’m expecting Him to do.
As I prepare messages to feed the sheep of His pasture, I’m prayerful that every sentiment will be God-breathed and will stir hearts to pursue Him more fully. As I’ve studied, I’ve been convicted and challenged in my own life and hope that the Spirit will do what He does best – take one simple theme and make it apply to thousands.
So, are you coming to either of these events? Or have you been to one in the past?
If you are coming, give us some details! Coming alone or with a group? Live in the DFW area or flying in from out of town? What are you anticipating that God will do in your life?
If you’ve come in previous years, what was your favorite part of the conference and what did God do in your life?
Expecting great things,
Priscilla
With bells on!
I'll be there with a group from my church. We are in the DFW area, so we aren't staying in a hotel. This will be my first one.

Going Beyond Conference at McLean Bible Church
Hi Priscilla - I am coming to McLean Bible Church on the 26th of Feb. with a group of ladies from my church. Most of us were introduced to you through your 'Discerning the Voice of God' study that our first lady brought to us. It has been such a blessing to us.
I look forward to 'Going Beyond'. I am expecting God to show up and speak to us through you, and I am anticipating a great time in the Lord.
Thank you for your obedience to Him. Without that, we wouldn't receive these blessings and growth!
Can't Wait!
You KNOW I'll be there, Priscilla! I'm coming in expectation of hearing a word from God.....and GOING BEYOND with so many other sisters in Christ!
Richer Still!!
I will be in Fort Worth along with my mother, aunt, cousin, and daughter. We come from a family with a strong spiritual heritage, but we want more. We want to pass on a relationship with Christ that is "Richer Still." I love my family and can't wait to see how God will use you to encourage us.
Coming to McKinney Bible Church
I was wanting to go but hadn't signed up, due to finances. When my 16-year old daughter found out about it and asked me if we could go, I knew we HAD to go!! I was not going to turn that opportunity down. God provided a way for us to go and we can't wait!!! I am expecting God to work in both of our lives!
MMBC is our home church and we are so excited to welcome you and women from all over!
Attending McKinney Bible Church Event
I am so excited that my 3 daughters, my mother and I are all coming to your conference. We are from the Weatherford and FT Worth area. I can't wait to see what the Lord has for us and how our lives will be blessed and changed. What is even more exciting is that the next week our husbands are going to a mens conference. To see my daughters and their husbands grow in their walk with the Lord together well tere are no words, but thank you Lord.
I'M SO EXCITED !!! I know
I'M SO EXCITED !!! I know that God is going to show up in a big way. I look forward to seeing God work through you. I'm expecting this to be a life changing experience for every women in attendance and I know that God is able to do this and more. Praying for you daily.
I'm coming!
Some friends and I are going to the Northern Virginia event. I've done several of your Bible studies and am so excited to "introduce" them to you. Two of us have little ones, and I keep telling her, "Priscilla hasn't just been there, she IS there."
I'm looking forward to great worship, a great message, and, oh yeah--a night away from the kids!
Colleen
You and your friends will surely be in good company with me!! Ha ha ha. The only difference is that my kids will be with me in the hotel.... You guys get some extra sleep for me, ok? :)
Priscilla
YAY! look forward to Mclean
Yay. Thanks for taking time out to bless us. I will be at Mclean Va. Looking forward to it!!
Can't wait
It will be my first Goind Beyond, and I am so excited. Anxiously awaiting praising Him and being blessed by the hearing of His word under your teaching (and Anthony's singing...love, love, love his voice).
See you in Ft. Worth (but probably at church sooner than that) :)
Amber
Thank You
Priscilla, about 3 years ago, my husband and I were in the States for a year's furlough after having spent a 5 year term on the mission field. I was exhausted physically, spiritually and emotionally; ie drained dry!! During our year's furlough God gave me a gift...He allowed me to hear you and your mom speak at a Woman's Conference via a Telecast. I came away renewed and ready to continue serving the dear people God has called us to serve. We are back overseas, and daily I am blessed and encouraged as I read your blog. Thank you so much, Priscilla, for continuing to be used of God in my life. My prayers are with you as you minister to many women during the Going Beyond Conference. I am so excited for you all. I look forward to attending one some day. Blessings.
Heidi
I am honored that I could in some small way be a part of your life as you minister overseas. Wow. I am in awe of you and applaud your work to spread God's word abroad. Your work is not in vain.
Bless you
Priscilla
One in a Million Bible study
I'm on my second week of the Bible study and it is so moving. I am in the wilderness and the second chapter on the wilderness and seasons has touched a cord in my heart. Thank you for writing the book and reaching out to others. I pray that I will get through this wilderness with God becuase he is the only one who can help.
Thank you!!! Jill
One of these days...
I sure hope I get to a Deeper Still event one of these days! I did Kay Arthur's Precept studies 20 years ago, have facilitated 11 Beth Moore studies and (I'm thrilled to report!) the ladies at our church are beginning our first Priscilla Shirer study next week! We're doing Discerning the Voice of God and we're so excited! To see you three in person together would be delight! So looking forward to it one of these days!
Coming to McKinney
Our ladies from Eagle's View Church in Saginaw will be there. We are looking forward to an awesome girl's weekend. We've done three of your studies and have all grown more than we can say. "Discerning the Voice of God" was the most life changing study I've ever done. It was over a year ago and God is still leading me in this area. It has opened up an unbelievable intimacy with Him that I can't thank you enough for.
Been there!
I attended a Going Beyond Event in Atlanta a year ago and had my socks blessed clean off!! Would love to come to another soon.
I can so identify, Priscilla, with your pleas to the Lord to speak through you as you prepare for an event. Any time I am asked to speak, I begin praying fervently, the minute I receive the invitation, for the Lord to give me HIS Words. He alone knows the hearts that will attend and what they need to hear. It would be so presumptous of me to believe that I knew what those people need to hear. HE alone knows.
God bless you Priscilla for your faithfulness to Him.
Leah
Fort Worth
I really do want to come to the Ft. WOrth conference. I'm currently trying to find the money to do it. I have not yet attended one of your Going Beyond events yet, but look forward to it some day even if Ft Worth doesn't work out financially for me this time. And I am looking forward to your interview with James & Betty Robison that following Tuesday. I will be there. :)

Sat. Morning Prayer Time....POWERFUL!!!
I've attended these events in the past and must say that God Holy Spirit has allowed some phenominal things to happen when I have gone alone. So much so, that many times now I "long" to go alone and totally absorb what He has in store for me.
I met two amazing women at the last one I attended in Louisville,KY. One has become such a sweet friend and we are finding so many ways to encourage each other through prayer, emails, and scripture. It's as if I've known her for years.....
An old friend of mine, living in the Dallas area, has recently been through a storm. I suggested that she attend, knowing that she would be incredibly blessed. I'm pretty sure she will not go alone, so I'm in prayer that I'll be able to find a cheap airline ticket, and fly out to Fort Worth so I can make sure she gets there. The special prayer time that Priscilla leads early Saturday mornings is powerful; I just know it will do my friend's heart so much good...(healing, healing, healing.) Prayerfully, one or both of us will make it.
Opened a can of worms!
I have only been to one Going Beyond Event but have seen you twice with Deeper Still. Girl, let me just tell you what the Going Beyond event meant to me 2 years ago in Nashville, TN!
You taught on the wilderness and the whole time I felt and even have prayers in my notebook that I believed God was doing something big and preparing me for something BIG and I had no idea what it was. I also wrote on one of the cards that we put at the alter that my husband was in ministry and our marriage was falling apart and he wanted to leave the church we were at and I had no idea why.
A few months later I found out that my husband had been having a 4 month affair with his intern. While I was the conference she was at my house.
HOWEVER, God used the foundation of what you taught on that weekend
*God chose the wilderness
*30 miles up the road God had already stopped the flow of the Jordan and was working upstream for his people even though they could not see it
*Sometimes you have to leave the place of Egypt
*Moses had the choice to go right or left and did not know which way to go so he "pitched his tent" and stayed until he heard God
*the wilderness is not the issue it is wandering in it!
to walk me through the most painful year I have ever had to journey. God and I have been walking the wilderness together and I am very excited to say He has been faithful and is in the process of showing me my promised land. My marriage survived because God was so faithful and tender to me and spoke clearly to me on what His desire was for me and our marriage. I have seen God make all things new and am currently experiencing a time of continued healing and fresh love in our marriage. It was the truths of that one weekend that the Holy Spirit constantly brought back to my mind and gave me the fuel to keep walking the rocky road of the wilderness.
@Lori
WOW! Lori, you had some kind of year didn't you? Unbelievable! And yet it is incredible to see so clearly how the Holy Spirit is obviously at work in your life. Only the Spirit of the Living God can cause you to see the Lord's hand in circumstances like you have faced. Your willingness to trust God is an incredible encouragement to all of us.
Thank you for sharing how God used some simple messages on a simple weekend to gird you with His truth for the circumstances that He knew were coming.
Praise the Lord!
I'm glad to hear that you and your man are refreshed and enjoying the grace of God and a renewed relationship with the each other!
Amen.
Priscilla
