Ten years ago today, I began working for Going Beyond Ministries.
When I first began, I never could have imagined the many capacities in which God would use me here. Teaching, coordinating, creating, managing, and assisting with all the things in between—each role has been a blessing.
These 10 years have been filled with countless drives down the backroads that lead to the office. Several Pinterest boards to house creative teaching ideas (before the convenience of today’s kid-friendly and craft-packed reels). Many field trips and even more flights. Film premieres. Book and Bible study releases. Going Beyond Live events. AWAKEN gatherings. FerVent Tours. Kingdom Legacy Live events. Days spent at the State Fair of Texas. Annual Christmas dinners. Weekly prayer meetings. And, of course, charcuterie boards. I mean, naturally.
. . . and let’s not forget Priscilla’s homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh bread!
Reflecting on these 10 years, my heart is so grateful to serve a ministry that embodies the love and grace of Christ in every action.
Jerry and Priscilla Shirer, your deep love for Christ shines through in everything you do. You are generous, loving, and patient leaders who have always prioritized family. You allowed me to be there for my family when they needed me most, a kindness I do not take for granted.
God knew I needed your guidance when He brought me here. You’ve supported me through some of the toughest times of my life and created a workplace where I feel valued and appreciated. Your faithfulness in practicing what you preach has profoundly impacted my life, making me a better Christian, daughter, sister, and friend.
Thank you for being extraordinary leaders and friends. I am deeply blessed to be part of this ministry and look forward to continuing this journey with you.
To you both, and the many friends I’ve made along the way, serving alongside you has been a truly memorable experience.
