Just Released Today! Life, Interrupted

Feb 28, 2011

pToday is the Day!/p
pLife, Interrupted – a href=”http://www.goingbeyond.com/store” target=”_blank”the book/a – is finally released! We are sooooo excited about it, we are almost giddy! There is already a good bit of buzz about it and there are high hopes for widespread distribution. Wouldn’t it be cool to see it on the NY Times best seller list? We’ve been talking about a href=”http://www.goingbeyond.com/blog/altered-plans” target=”_blank””interruptions”/a here on the blog – and I know each one of us can relate to the subject very well./p
pemJust as a side note, my husband was recently traveling through a small town in Arkansas, (“the middle of nowhere,” he said) and  did a double take when he saw this big picture in a store window. He had to snap a photo for me./em/p

pHere’s a little description of the book from the a href=”http://www.bhpublishinggroup.com/books/products.asp?p=9781433670459″ target=”_blank”publisher:/a/p
pem”Interruptions. They’re aggravating. Sometimes infuriating. They make us want to tell people what we think of them. But how we handle interruptions actually tells us more about ourselves. brbr”The prophet Jonah’s existence was interrupted by a call of God that would require a complete change of life. And it scared him enough to make him run in the opposite direction. Yet, what seemed to him to be an unnecessary and useless interruption was really an opportunity for Jonah to be involved in something the likes of which the Old Testament world had never seen before. This interruption was really a divine intervention and it held more adventure and possibility than he could have ever imagined. brbr”We, like Jonah, tend to run from interruptions. When major pains and minor problems cause a hiccup in our carefully calculated plans and goals we head in the opposite direction. Who knows what we might be missing by running from what could very well be God’s means of steering us towards the most magnificent outcome of our lives. Jonah could tell us a story or two. So could you. And so does popular conference speaker and author Priscilla Shirer in this very personal account of opportunities lost and lessons learned—and the amazing freedom and fulfillment that comes from going with God even when He’s going against your grain.”/em/p
pWill you pray that the release goes well and then people everywhere will want to get their own copy? We love this message, and it’s written as only Priscilla can write – convicting and inspiring, yet warm and encouraging…and so full of the Word. I’m jumping up and down that it’s finally here!!/p
