Let’s Get Crafty!

Mar 09, 2011

pWhat is UP, people!! We’ve been blogging for a year and a half and never done a crafty post???/p
pNow, that’s just WRONG./p
pI mean, we need to see Priscilla wield a hot glue gun around here – we’ve seen what she can do with the Word of God – now we want to see her crafting skilz. HA! (I’ll bet she’s good.)/p
pWhile we talk her into that, I thought I’d show you a super easy way to make a real sweet chalkboard out of that ugly framed print you have on your wall but are too cheap to throw it out and don’t know what to replace it with.em Yeah, THAT one./em Check out what I made out of an old framed print I was sick of!/p

I made this for my guest room, but liked it so much I had to put it in my kitchen with a verse on it!

You can find my easy instructions here….or just click “play” below.

AAAAAAnd my bonus tip: Here is a great way to memorize scripture, especially using a chalkboard. Write out your verse and read it aloud a few times.  Next, erase one or two words and see if you can read it completely, even without them. Now, erase one or two more words. Read it again. Keep on erasing words until you are “reading” a blank board. BINGO! You’ve memorized it. This is a great game to play with your kids and was a huge hit with my 2nd grade Sunday School classes. TRY IT!

So…Any questions about our craft? What kinds of things do you like to make?
