Meet Antrenette

Aug 08, 2011

Hello Everybody! My name is Antrenette (pronounced Ann-tree-nette). I know what you’re wondering, “Where in the world did her parents get that name from”….Well, I really don’ t have an answer for you! My mom wanted to name me Sabrina, and my daddy wanted to name me Antrenette and, well,  he won! Although my name is pronounced the exact way its spelled, on a daily basis I get called Antwanette, Antoinette, Anjanette and my absolute favorite, Internet. Ha!

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas, but currently reside in Fort Worth. I graduated from University of Houston – Clear Lake in 2004 with a degree in Healthcare Administration and then I went to University of St. Thomas and received my MBA with a concentration in Ethics in 2008. While going to school I worked in Human Resources and I honestly thought that was going to be my stopping place, but the Lord had other plans. After receiving a call from the Lord to pursue counseling, I quit my job and moved to Forth Worth last year to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to pursue a Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling.

Once the Lord settled me here He led me to join Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship and there is where I met Jerry and Priscilla and the rest is history! I started working for the ministry a little over 2 months ago and I still pinch myself daily to make sure I’m not dreaming. It is such a  blessing to go to work everyday, but not really feel like you’re working. I mean, don’t get me wrong, we stay extremely busy, but serving them (Jerry & Priscilla) and the ministry is so easy. Not to mention that I get to sit beside Linnae each and every day! She is wonderful!

When I’m not at work, you will find me studying, reading, running, watching So You Think You Can Dance (I heart this show) or…..EATING! Yes indeed! Eating makes me soooo happy:)

I am so excited to meet all of you and I can’t wait for us to interact!

In Him,

Antrenette Carr
