A Resolution to Care

Aug 29, 2011

This weekend while we were in Jacksonville, FL for a Going Beyond Event we had the awesome opportunity to partner with a local ministry, First Coast Women’s Services, that dedicates its time to providing alternatives for abortion. We all brought as many diapers, baby wipes and blankets as we could to be loaded in a truck and sent off to their offices. Check it out . . .

I know for myself, sometimes it is so easy for me to ignore the needs of those around me. I want to do something that makes a difference in someone else’s life, but I never know what that should actually look like. One of the things I love the most about our Going Beyond Events, is that it opens my eyes to see how easy it is to CARE. When you care, you actually do something about how you are feeling.

A Resolution to Care . . . probably one of the most challenging resolutions for me on our journey thus far. But I’m looking forward to using the Resoltuion Revolution as an opportunity to grow in this area.

What about you? How does this “resolution to care” play out in your own life? Is it easy or hard for you? Is there something in your life that has changed or been altared since we last talked about it? Can’t wait to hear your thoughts . . . .
