The Shadow

Oct 31, 2011

Reading this month’s Jewelry Box was like water for my soul as I was reading through it last night. I’ve been wrestling with a few things in my heart with God these past few days, and I was filled with so much peace as I read these words . . .

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High God will rest in the shadow of the Almighty . . . Psalm 91:1

My mom actually put this whole Psalm in a little frame and gave it to all my siblings and I last Christmas. We tried to memorize this as a family, but that didn’t turn out too well =)

It’s quite interesting, though, because my family went through a lot this past year – things that we would’ve never thought we would have to deal with – and this particular verse could not have proven to be any more true to me through it all.

And here I am again tonight, with Gods Word is penetrating my soul, this verse that has spoken volumes to me this year, and I have a God who so sweetly whispers to me and tells me to come, rest and allow His presence to take all of the worries away. He is good!

I hope you are blessed by Priscilla’s words just as much as I . . .
