How Many Shades?

Nicole | Feb 24, 2015

Hey there sisters!

I hope this post finds you warm wherever you may be.  Dallas has been hit with one of our biggest cold fronts of ticehe season and it has resulted in snow and a lot of icy roads. We aren’t use to these conditions as they don’t happen often. Schools and many businesses have shut down due to the weather so it’s been a quiet few days.  I’ve ventured out long enough just to snap a few pictures for proof and then it was time to head back in doors!

But now on to what I really want to chat with you about today.  Valentine’s weekend marked the release of a movie called 50 Shades of Gray. No matter where you turn, it’s been hard to avoid the chatter.  Billboards, commercials, talk shows . . . it has been everywhere. But instead of ignoring it, pretending it isn’t placing a mark in our society, we are talking about it. And we are talking about with a Christian perspective.  On this month’s The Chat with Priscilla, Priscilla chats with Dr. Juli Slattery and Dannah Gresh about this phenomena swThe Chat with Priscilla - 50 Shadeseeping the country.

You don’t want to miss this two part episode that will run throughout the day Tuesday and Thursday of this week. It airs at 12pm, 6pm, and 10pm central time right here. Viewer discretion is definitely advised especially if there are young ears around. The material discussed is of adult nature.

And while I have you here, I wanted to share some exciting news about our April 25th Priscilla Shirer Live simulcast event happening in Huntsville, AL.  The event has now been moved to a much, MUCH larger venue which means more and more of YOU!  If you live in or around the Hunstville, AL area, join us for a day filled with worship, fellowship and the Word. All the information you may need can be found by clicking here.  Not in the vicinity? Not to worry. Since this is a simulcast event, you may also view it from your home or even host a local church! Additional info may be found here.

I know I’ve given you enough to chew on today!  So, until next time! 🙂
